Olive - Next seasons trialling campaigner
FTAW Rangemaster Woodlark Del Chipindor x Boundarymoor Freya At Rangemaster
Incredible little spaniel with tonnes of pace and style. Not so keen on heavy cover but she is getting better. We will most likely run Olive in bracken and grass trials next season as this is where she shines.
Very honest spaniel with a incredible marking abilities and a very strong retriever.
Maple - Next seasons trialling hopeful
FTAW Rangemaster Woodlark Del Chipindor x Boundarymoor Freya At Rangemaster
A proper hard cover spaniel. Never been shy of cover, even as a young pup. Hunts a natural pattern with pace and lots of style.
She can be a little soft at times but will never shutdown under pressure.
Has taken after her dad in size and coat.
Willow - Head of neck warming
Aim To Attract At Rangemaster x FTAW Rapidgold Snow Tease Of Chipindor
Our home bred pick of the litter.
She's a smart little cookie like her mum but we haven't had the time to put enough into her for trialling. She will make a brilliant beating / Picking up dog for next season.
Very bold and eager to please with just the right amount of drive that she makes a nice dog to have around the house.
Howie - Soon to retire trialling dog
FTW Helmsway Helmer x Dashbrook Pinnacle At Rangemaster
My unluckiest spaniel to date in trials. Been knocking on the door for while but for various reasons he's not quite got the win.
Hunts a nice tight pattern with pace and style. Hits hard cover with grunt.
Can be quite soft in nature but never shuts down under pressure. Pictures don't do him justice.. he's a stunner!
Lulu - Retired trialling dog, chief cheeky monkey
Dashbrook Raggedstone Of Greenfox x Salrowbra Purdz Sunshine Of Rapidgold
With Zero fluffs given Lulu is an utter maniac in heavy cover. The easiest spaniel I have ever had the pleasure of training and the most consistent to date in trials.
Sooo so cheeky but a joy to have around the house; providing you can deal with the pile of pots and pans hidden in her bed....
Izzy - Current trialling bitch, one more season before she's too feral
OFTW Barcudwen Bounty x FTCH Sliabh Henry
An absolute sweetheart.. but a complete menace in the field. Click her off and you are in for a ride.
Izzy gives it her all in everything she does and doesn't leave a twig unturned.
My strongest hunting spaniel by far.
I'm very pleased with her!
Bran - Marmite
Bishwell Barcud x Heolybwlch Keira
Brilliant retrieving dog, doesn't hunt cover like a springer...cause he's a cocker. Bran is the whole reason I would only ever have one cocker at a time. I bought him in to train up as a project and to gain experience with different breeds. Very pleased with how he's turned out and looking forward to the next trialling season.
Pepper - Not a spaniel
Jaw drops... a Labrador.. Yep its another project dog. Thoroughly enjoying training this girl. They don't lack drive in the way I thought they would....they just don't have the needless busyness a spaniel has.
She is coming on well and I'm finding it challenging in different ways.
For a dog training enthusiast they are simply brilliant creatures to have in the bag of tricks.
Safari- Supreme working dog and shooting buddy
Daring Juke x Hiding In Holly
Where do I start with this big lad. Safari was able to hold a 2lb dummy at 8 weeks old without any issues. He can now run down a pricked Canada goose and bring it back head up still flapping with ease.
My go to pigeon hide buddy and beating dog.
Winner of the spaniel test challenge at the Game Fair 2021; he is one hell of a working dog.
Winnie - Easiest spaniel in the field and kennel
Gold Of Conker At Rangemaster x Rangemaster Capercaille
Humans are a hindrance to Winnie since she's very independent but very eager to please. I thought I was going to have a rough ride teaching her to hunt close but was infact the exact opposite.
She is just a nice spaniel to have in the team and you hardly know she's there.
Chip - Rescue spaniel, old & cant be trusted off lead
Rescued in 2013 from CAESSR
A complete mess emotionally and had trust issues with women (who blames him?) when he first arrived.
I learnt a lot about training spaniels from this old boy and I will be forever in his debt.
He debuted his first day beating at 8 years of old and managed one season before retiring. A short but sweet career.
Alfie - Broken spaniel...a proper pain in the arse
Without a doubt... a proper pain in the arse.
Alfie has suffered from HIF and had many monies spent on surgery to repair both front legs.
He scares me in cover with his ferocity but has zero prey drive...completely useless as a gundog. It's shame really as he hunts lovely and retrieves balls and dummies.
What he lacks in gundog work he makes up for in affection and loyalty.
